I think it would be a 50- 50 thing. Although men are more aggressive mainly pyhsically. Women tend to be aggressive mentally, specially in determination of things pertaining to their well being and appearance. But all in all, we all have some extend of aggressiveness in us, some more obvious then others.

Me being a redhead i'd have to say women, what they say about redheads and fiesty tempers is all true, lol. But on the other hand, women are mostly aggressive when it comes to matters of the heart where as men become most aggressive when it's a matter of the ego, if ya know what I mean. No offence boys, ......not deliberately anyway..! lol :)

i'm in agreement w/ gingerella for the most part...men will get aggressive over anything.
in the dating sense (assuming you are referring to this), i think women typically do the choosing...and therefore are the aggressor. the signs/aggression may be subtle, but women are typically pulling the strings...at first anyway. however, most guys (w/ their ego's) will say otherwise.

When I first read your reply, Gerry to Gengerellas: My first thought was "BS". After I thought about it for a moment though, I tend to think you are correct.

It's quite amazing, I think, how easily the male ego can be bruised, yet even more amazing how the female can calm the savage beast within all men with their calm, cool, collective, resourcefulness.

the more aggressive males were rewarded by the females with sex! this still holds true for the most part, especially in other animals and species. however, now that we're all "civilized" it has become a little more complicated. we (men) can't just go kill off our competition. so, we resort to games and other ego induced displays to get sex!...it's not really our fault though!! :). the saying, "nice guys finish last", didn't come about for no reason!! believe me i know, i'm a nice guy. so, the next time a woman complains about our aggressive behavior, they need to take a step back a realize who's to blame!!! :)
