it's really difficult when people would ask you that question...
it's been a long standing question that nobody could answer unless they're in that situation...
somebody loves you but you love someone else...
who happens to love another person...
will you be truly happy if you choose the person who loves you...
is there a chance for you to be really happy?
will you ever learn to love back that person?...

or would you rather choose to chase that one person you're crazy about...
that one person that makes your heartbeat skip...
that one person you've always dreamed of...
and do you think you'll be happy with this person?

but......
what happens when the chase is through and you ahve finally gotten
the person of whom your dreams and fantasy are based upon??
will this be the person you thought it was...or will you be blinded by love
and not even see that are the worst possible thing that ever could
happen to you??
and after they have smashed you and crashed you and thrown you around,
will you be so tattered and torn, that when the person who loves you, comes
to nurse you back to normalcy... you will be so internally broken and
untrusting that in the end, you will in turn, have become just like to object
that had just crushed your life??

just wandering.....;)

You have a good point there Breeze, But just like everything else. It's only good and exciting at first, it's like a small kid with a new a toy, he won't let it down, until he gets tired of it, or sees something better. I believe that relationships are the same way. At first it's all lovey Dovey, once you have what you wanted, and the thrill is gone, it get's old. I mean it's not always this way. But it does happen, and much too often.

In my opinion, and it is ONLY my opinion....I do not think that once the thrill is gone, it gets old and they let you down...I think that in the very begining...once you see a "trophy" that you like and you go after it, and hence you catch it, you tend to put "whomever" up on a pedestal so very darned high that in the end...one little mistake...one small thing...like a fart that smells to much...and boom, off they tumble from that pedestal. andso I think that it is our very own doing...we let ourselves down...we set ourselves up for disappointment from the very begining..if we could remove the pedestals, and put them on firm ground from the get go...thier "failings" would not be great falls, but small strumbles..

well perhaps you are right, but I just don't think that if a person finds little faults like the example you just said, would make him or she think different towards the other person, cause one has to expect faults and try to deal with them, we are all human, if you at least care for that person, no matter how high you place that person on the pedestal. Now we all have our habits we all do things different, and we all have our faults which might not agree with the person you're with, and that comes along with the relation, although we know we try to hide them to impress them and not scare them away, but they will come out eventually. It would seem dumb to think that anyone, no matter how beautiful or handsome he/she may be, will act like a pure saint, who will do everything we expect of he/she. So I still think that it's the thrill that wears off after a while. Of course I'm not saying this is true in every case, But just show me a guy that is married that will ignore a flirt from a beautiful girl, or vice versa no matter how happily married he/she is, they might not react in from of their wife's or girfriends, but along they will. And if there is, they are rare. Also I'm saying this as my point of view. I have been married for almost 40 years now, and I have been very tempted into cheating on her more then a few times, and the reason I haven't is because I know it's wrong. But believe me, it is very hard to stay faithful.

As newly weds, nothing or no girl would even come through my thoughts, but it does after so many years of the same thing, believe me. Now I'm not talking for all the men here or anywhere for that matter, It is my own opinion too. Now see what you did, now you got me rambling things I should've even had said. but it is an interesting subject.

I agree with you here...humans have there faults...but some of those in love tend to have such high expectations,(up on that ped),that when the mistakes are made, they are totally totally crushed...because they were trying to have what they had always dreamt about...that "perfect" love...or what there own idea of a perfect love shoould be...thats what I meant...
and the temptation thing, I think that a guy (or girl) can be tempted, and the ones who are down to earth, they are faithful...they are real in there realationship...but if at home they are treated as if they can do no wrong, and they can get away with things becausae of that, they will cheat because what have they got to worry about...kinda like a spoiled rotten kid..
yes?? no??
this is just my little ole opinion

No, that's good. we learn by opinions and suggestions of others. Here in a forum such as this one. Here is the perfect place to do all this things. Most of us don't have the luxury of traveling and meeting other people outside of their own hometown, so a place where we can write, to see views from people from other states, countries, or wherever they may be. They perhaps don't have the same rules, laws, or beliefs that others do. So opinions, examples, and even suggestions should be welcomed, whether we agree with them or not, that's our decision, but at least we can know about them. I'm sorry too, but I can not consider myself an expert on people relations. What I say about it, is my own experience, and what I have seen happening to friends relatives, and just other people that I know. Breeze, you have nothing to be sorry for.
What I posted before your last one was just a gag. I'm trying to get people involved into conversations such as these one. So don't let me stop you.
