Ok. I guess I won't get anymore answers for this question.... so here it is.
It is an electronic musical instrument invented by Professor Leon Theremin. The theremin is probably best known for its spooky sounds in many old science fiction movies and in the Beach boys' song "Good Vibrations." A musician plays the theremin by waving his hands around two electrodes, controlling the tone and loudness..
